Following on from the company’s initial European launch in 2007 and a roll-out of a local German operation Spain was identified as the third most important territory for the company to target with its story.,To date the Spanish media had not paid much attention both to the online video market in general and relevant technology players in particular.

The Challenge

  • Engage with key business media business and broadcast industry press and influencers to interest them in attending a press launch and pre-breifing meeting
  • Use this event to kick-off comprehensive press and industry outreach to build buzz volume around the launch of local operations

  • Generate awareness of the fuller Brightcove story in this new European country

The Strategy

AxiCom worked to satisfy the information needs of the Spanish press by arranging an a educative briefing with key press in the morning of the day before the official launch. The team also worked with Brightcove in Spain to support the industry launch event with attendance by media and influencers.

The Result

Launch activities achieived over 60 individual pieces of coverage in top tier Spanish publications as a result of the press pre-briefing event and embargoed pitching and distribution of the launch press release. A key goal for the launch was to secure coverage of Brightcove’s newest operations in the business section of a major Spanish national newspaper – this was met with an in-depth article in national daily Cinco Dias.,
