Challenge:
· To launch Jasper Wireless, the first machine to machine mobile operator in Europe
· To launch the new category of machine to machine mobile operator to European analysts and press
Actions:
· Planning – A meeting took place between the AxiCom European PR team and Jasper Wireless in order to create a strategy for the launch that would work across Europe
· European press and analyst launch – Across four countries in five days (including two days in the UK). Launch days were planned to coincide with relevant industry events taking place, where possible, to ensure maximum exposure and impact for Jasper Wireless
· Vertical PR programme – In each of the four countries, the AxiCom team identified the key vertical markets for Jasper Wireless. These were then used as the basis for PR activity to help build interest and momentum around the machine to machine category
· Speaking opportunities – This was an important focus for the AxiCom team given that machine to machine communications is a new and developing market. Speaking opportunities proved to be the ideal way to introduce Jasper Wireless to industry watchers, press and analysts
Results:
· Successful launch in all four countries; UK, France, Italy and Germany
· 33 press and analyst meetings took place and 26 unique pieces of coverage were achieved as a result
· The CTO of Jasper Wireless addressed Mobile World Congress 2008 on the topic of machine to machine solutions
· Ongoing vertical programmes continue in all four countries following the launch leading to successful case studies and solid results
