Linksys has honoured AxiCom UK with its 2008 PR Campaign of the Year award, in recognition of the agency’s work and efforts on the Connected Life Consumer Trends research project and PR activities.
AxiCom developed the programme and worked with a third party research house to conduct a survey on home networking use throughout the United Kingdom. The survey was promoted by Linksys to show the trends in home networking and to further tell the company’s story about ease of use, security and all the great things you can do with a network once you have a router.
From the results, AxiCom was able to develop three different press announcements (Women and the Internet, Wireless Network Penetration and Network Security) The three pronged approach to the survey enabled Linksys to make maximum use of the results and achieve impressive press coverage over two quarters.
AxiCom's work on the survey allowed Linksys to show its leadership in the home networking segment. Overall the consumer trends research proved to be an extremely efficient way of using one programme to generate multiple angels of coverage. |
