London/Madrid - 20 September 2006
Pan-European technology specialist PR agency AxiCom has established a Spanish office in Madrid, expanding its wholly-owned European office network to seven countries. AxiCom Spains manager is Eduardo Fuentes who has joined AxiCom from Madrid-based technology agency 01 Consulting. This makes AxiCom the only independent European technology PR agency with wholly-owned offices across all major countries in Western Europe.
Eduardo Fuentes background includes more than 15 years experience in PR agencies, eight of which have been dedicated exclusively to the IT industry. He has implemented PR campaigns for organisations including as BT, Sun Microsystems and Computer Sciences and has worked on a wide range of multinational programmes, both at a European level and internationally.
AxiCom Spain will work initially with five international clients and one local client. The Spanish IT sector grew 10 % in 2005 and its visibility with international consumer and b2b technology businesses is increasing all the time, said AxiCom CEO Julian Tanner. Many of our international clients are moving to tap into this growth potential and having a local operation ensures we can continue to provide them with a complete AxiCom network across their key European markets.
This is a good time to open a Spanish office to service the needs of both local and international companies, Eduardo Fuentes commented. Spanish technology organisations are becoming more international in their outlook and are responding positively to AxiComs strategic technology sector consulting expertise as well as our international capabilities.
Eduardo Fuentes began his career in 1994 in one of the largest Spanish PR agencies where he developed and implemented communications campaigns for organisations such as BBVA, the Spanish Association of Publishers Guilds, Bankinter, Larcovi, Anged and Azko Nobel. In 1998 he moved to hi-tech specialist Agency 01 Consulting, where he played a key roll in launching and consolidating the agency, helping grow it from four clients and three employees to 22 clients and 17 employees in seven years . Eduardo has a Masters degree in Economics Communications from Madrids Complutense University. London-based AxiCom is a top 10 European technology PR agency, with other wholly-owned offices in the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Benelux and the Nordics. |
