Insights into some AxiCom thinking...
Eccentric, intriguing, fascinating … We couldn’t resist.

Today we’re excited to announce that AxiCom is going to be providing pro bono PR and communications support for Plan 28, a project that is trying to build Charles Babbage's Analytical Engine. The Analytical Engine was designed in 1837 and, had Babbage finished it, would have been what we today understand to be a real computer - powered by steam.
Plan 28 was initiated by John Graham-Cumming, renowned computer programmer and author, and has recently secured the support of Doron Swade, the pre-eminent Babbage expert and former curator of computing at the Science Museum, London. John and Doron have now assumed joint responsibility for completing the engine. This is a great project in terms of historical significance for the computing industry and already has gained significant interest from the media and financial support in terms of thousands of pledges from around the world.
If you would like to follow the project too, or pledge your support, please visit the Plan 28 website or follow Plan 28 on Facebook.
